meet the photographer

Hi, I’m Karson — a documentary-style photographer with a deep love for human connection, sunshine, and adventure. I’ve been photographing for about 8 years, starting with a camera in hand at my brother’s baseball games and on family travels, and somehow (thankfully) ending up right here!

I’m a big believer in community, meaningful friendships, and showing up fully for the people around us. I love early mornings, matcha, movement, reading good books, movies, seeing the world, and being outside as much as possible — especially when nature and good light are involved. I’m passionate about health, wellness, and living life with intention

Most importantly, my heart is for people! I care deeply about telling honest stories, creating space for connection, and capturing moments that feel real, joyful, and alive <3

A meaningful part of my story is that I currently have an incarcerated parent — an experience that has deeply shaped the way I see people, justice, and compassion. Through the stories my mom has shared, my eyes have been opened to the injustice and oppression that exist within the prison system, and it’s stirred a desire in me to advocate for change.

This journey has expanded my heart with greater empathy, humility, and a deeper commitment to truly listening. I believe every person carries a unique story, heart, and perspective that deserves to be heard — and I care deeply about creating space for that understanding.

Because of this, a portion of every session I book is donated to a trusted organization working toward prison reform. While it’s one small step, it’s a tangible way for me to support a cause I genuinely believe in and hope to see changed.

Choosing to book with me is something I will never take lightly. Just know that by doing so, you’re not only investing in your story — you’re also becoming part of something I care deeply about fighting for.

let’s dream!

Some of my dreams include opening a cafe for women who were previously incarcerated and trafficking survivors that helps them get back on their feet, and opens their eyes to a new way of life, with a community and love to back them up. Apart from that, some dreams include backpacking southeast Asia and South America, living in Australia at some point, learning Spanish, buying a motorcycle, and living on a big ranch (although not sure if I could handle it HAHA)! I’m a big dreamer, so if you are too, let’s chat.
